Note:  When scheduling for a bulky pick up, it is important to know that furniture and other items will not be recycled.  They are crushed in the truck and taken directly to landfill.  (The exceptions to this are prohibited landfill materials, such as hazardous items, mattresses, large appliances, and tires that the City will drop off for special disposal).

GIVE IT A SECOND LIFE OVER DISPOSAL!  

Are your unwanted items still in good condition? Before you call for a bulky pick up consider giving them to neighbors who may be happy to take them off your hands and put them to good reuse! The Buy Nothing movement are local neighborhood Facebook groups that are great tools (and you can get free stuff as well)!   

• Buy Nothing Project – Burbank Media (West) – For neighbors in Burbank from the city limit at Clybourn to the west of Buena Vista, also including neighbors in the west Rancho to Main.
• Buy Nothing Project – Burbank (Central): For neighbors in Burbank between the I-5 freeway and Buena Vista Street, extending from Riverside Rancho (W. Riverside Drive) to the area north of Empire Center (ending at N. Victory Place.)
• Buy Nothing Project – Burbank Hillside: For neighbors in Burbank between the Verdugo Mountains and the I-5 freeway, north of Magnolia up to the city border.
• Buy Nothing Project – Burbank/Glendale Verdugo Foothills: For neighbors in Burbank and Glendale between the Verdugo Mountains and the I-5 freeway, on or south of Magnolia, and north of Grandview.
