The Burbank Recycle Center is a multi-faceted facility owned by the City of Burbank and operated by our partner, Burrtec.

SERVICES:

1) Materials Recovery Facility (MRF): Our facility sorts and processes recycling collected from Burbank’s curbside program, as well as select commercial accounts. These materials are separated by type (metals, #2 plastics, paper, etc.), baled and sold on the global and domestic commodities market. Clean material with minimal contaminants is essential to keeping the value high!  Curbside collection program FAQ’s.

2) Free Recycling Drop Off: Material specific bins are provided for all items allowed in the curbside program, in addition to select items such as oversized cardboard, bagged shredded paper, scrap metal, and mattresses.

Follow the signs listed on the bins to ensure only accepted materials are dropped off.  We cannot accept non-recyclable items or trash, including plastic bags or foam

We also accept donation of eyeglasses for the Lion’s Club International Recycle for Sight program.  PLEASE CALL 818-238-3900 TO SCHEDULE DROP OFF at Burbank Recycle Center’s office (which is closed to the public).  Only eyeglasses are needed – no cases, please.

3) Beverage Container Buy Back (Bottle and Can Redemption Center–Recycle Center website):

Please pre-sort beverage containers (aluminum, plastic, glass) to expedite the process.
