These are trash but for a more responsible disposal alternative,  TerraCycle and Bausch + Lomb have partnered to create a free recycling program for Biotrue® ONEday contact lenses and blister packs.  This product stewardship take back initiative accepts lenses and packs from other Bausch + Lomb brands, as well any other brand. 

  • Program accepted waste: Biotrue® ONEday brand contact lenses and blister packs, as well as other Bausch + Lomb brand contact lenses and blister packs. We will also accept contact lenses and blister packs from all brands.
  • Please note: Biotrue® ONEday and other Bausch + Lomb brand cardboard boxes (packaging) are recyclable through regular recycling in Burbank. Please do not include them in your shipments through this program.

Simply collect your lenses and their packaging in a box, sign up for a free account and request a free shipping label to send the materials to TerraCycle for recycling or drop off at participating businesses.

REDUCE:
  • Use monthly lenses instead of daily ones.
  • Wear regular glasses when you can to cut down on contact lens waste.
